Don't miss out - places are limited and bookings close 48 hours in advance, or when events reach capacity. You should select one date at your allocated campus when booking.

You're welcome to bring somebody with you to help you take in all of the information on the day and ask any questions you may not have thought of.

Due to limited space, we can accommodate one guest per student.

What to expect at an Offer Holder Day

How is the Offer Holder Day different to an Open Day?

An Offer Holder Day is where you can get hands-on with Medicine. You’ll get to experience what it’s like to study here day-to-day.

  • Get hands-on with taster sessions and activities, including: problem based learning, clinical and communication skills and anatomy
  • Take a tour of Hull York Medical School
  • Speak to our staff and students and ask any questions you have

How to get to the University

Getting to the University of Hull

Arriving by car:

The postcode for our campus is HU6 7TS.

Please check the event instructions we send you for any specific directions or information about car parking.

Arriving by train, bus or taxi:

A complimentary shuttle bus for Offer Holder Days runs regularly from the bus/train station to the University between 9am and 1pm. The return service runs between 2.30pm and 5pm.

Bus service 105 (stand 23) will take you from the station to the main entrance of the University.

Alternatively, a taxi from the station takes about 10 minutes, but please allow more time at peak times.

Getting to the University of York

Travelling by train

University of York is located about two miles from the train station. A regular bus service (66) runs at frequent intervals between the station and the campus. Tickets cost £2.20 for a single or £4 for a return.

If you'd like to take a taxi from the train station or city centre, ask the driver for Vanbrugh College at the University of York. The cost from the railway station is around £10 each way.

Travelling by car

Parking is limited on campus and the University recommend travelling by public transport where possible. Pay and Display car parks are free on a weekend. If you have a valid disabled parking permit, you can park for free in designated disabled spaces in any of the University car parks.

Whilst there have multiple car parks at the university, our ambassadors will be meeting and greeting visitors at Campus South Car Park. The postcode for satnav purposes is YO10 5NA.
