We are committed to delivering a high standard of support to all students, whatever their stage of study and location.
Our Student Wellbeing Team have expertise in support relating to studying Medicine and can help signpost students to support services within the Medical School, in our parent universities and external agencies as appropriate.
Open Door Mental Health Practitioner
We believe the mental health of medical students and doctors is of the upmost importance, and we advocate our students and staff to actively look after themselves and each other.
As such, we have a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner here at Hull York Medical School.
Students can refer themselves directly to the Practitioner for confidential advice and support.
Student representatives
Student representatives from all our programmes sit on both the Student Staff Committee and School Management Board, working to support the Medical School in improving our students’ experience.
Your Student Representative will always be happy to hear your feedback and discuss matters with senior leadership.
