Support and wellbeing

We are committed to supporting students and we are aware that there may be occasions when you may need a little more help to make your journey that bit easier.

Introduction

A stimulating and supportive environment

When you join Hull York Medical School, you join a close-knit community. Our aim is to ensure you get the most out of your time at medical school, and that you are supported throughout your journey to becoming a doctor.

We recognise that there may be times when you need additional support to help you manage academic or personal pressures, and we are here to help.

An important part of being a doctor is being able to recognise when your patients need support but also when you might need support too. We are committed to promoting good mental health and wellbeing in our students.

Medical students are the doctors of tomorrow, and we believe by giving the right support at this early stage in their training, they will become better doctors able to deliver outstanding care to their patients.
