Next steps

Step one: Book an Offer Holder Day

Visit your allocated campus on an Offer Holder Day and get hands-on with Medicine. You’ll experience what it’s like to study here day-to-day by taking part in taster sessions, exploring the campus and meeting current staff and students.

Our Offer Holder Days are planned for April and May 2025.

Step two: Accept your offer

Make sure that you have taken time to review these policies and procedures:

Accept your offer on UCAS 

The exciting part! You can accept your offer now on UCAS Hub.

Step three: Complete your Occupational Health assessment

Applicants who accept Hull York Medical School as their firm choice will be sent a health questionnaire at the beginning of June.

Make sure that you complete this assessment by the date specified as it is a formal condition your offer.

Vaccination

All Medicine students are strongly encouraged to complete appropriate vaccination schedules before starting clinical placement, unless medically exempt. Health professional students have a professional duty to protect patients from risks posed by their health, and to be immunised against common serious communicable diseases, unless contraindicated.

Up-to-date vaccinations are the most effective way to protect yourself, your patients and your colleagues from transmissible infections. Hull York Medical School will align with all professional and legal requirements in this regard.

Once you've accepted your place with us, you can apply for your accommodation. Your allocated home university will contact you explaining how to do this.

You are guaranteed a room that is owned, managed or approved by your University if you accept your place at Hull York Medical School as your firm choice, apply by your university’s deadline and meet any additional conditions they have.

Insurance offer holders can still apply for accommodation but may not be eligible for the accommodation guarantee, so we recommend that you check your university’s accommodation provision.

Officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inspirational building includes problem-based learning rooms, clinical and communication skills facilities, and host of collaborative learning spaces. The nearby Loxley building also hosts our anatomy facilities.

Following a £5.8 million investment in our facilities, our home includes a problem-based learning suite, state-of-the-art anatomy facilities and a collaborative learning space. We also use new clinical skills spaces in the nearby Seebohm Rowntree Building.
