Hull York Medical School, the University of Hull and the University of York, in partnership with North Yorkshire Council, have been awarded funding by the National Institute for Health and Care Research for a Health Determinants Research Collaboration to change the way that evidence about health inequalities is produced and used.
The funding will enable the development of collaborations between North Yorkshire Council and the Universities of Hull and York, boost the research capacity and skills needed to identify and address the issues that affect the health and wellbeing of the people of North Yorkshire, and embed a culture of always using evidence in decision-making.
