Student Prizegiving 2024

Postgraduate Awards

Abigail Cornean

I'm honoured to receive this award for the MSc in Clinical Anatomy. Undertaking the Clinical Anatomy MSc has allowed me to understand the anatomy of the body more deeply through both teaching sessions and research. The teaching opportunities given to us during the degree have also helped me to develop the skills to communicate effectively with the patients I see, both for now, during my medical degree, and beyond.

"I would like to thank and show my utmost gratitude to everybody who helped to make this research and thesis possible:

To Professor Lucy Ambrose, project supervisor, for her unwavering enthusiasm, support, and guidance over the last year, from project conception to submission.

To all the brilliant Hull York Medical School students who volunteered to participate, gave up their time for free in the run-up to their exams (and after), and shared their experiences so openly and honestly.

I am so pleased to see all of our hard work recognised in this way. I am very proud of this piece of research and hope it has a positive impact on the experience of medical students in the future."
