The purpose of this project is to identify practical barriers and facilitators to access opioid medications for cancer pain relief in Asia.

Cancer patients in Asia have very limited access to necessary pain medicines for a number of complex reasons. For example, some Asian countries have policies aimed at ensuring access to pain treatment whilst others do not allow them to be used at all.

We investigate the published literature regarding the practical challenges for cancer patients in accessing pain medicines in Asian countries.
