The Wolfson Palliative Research Centre is pleased to offer one Palliative Care Excellence Scholarship for 2024 entry on to the Hull York Medical School’s PGCert, PGDip or MSc in Palliative Care: Implementing Best Practice.
Funding will be for one year only and will be offered to a practicing UK-based clinician, of any discipline (medical, nursing, allied health professional) who wishes to study towards the PGCert, PGDip or MSc in Palliative Care Implementing Best Practice.
Value of the award
The award is worth up to a maximum of £4240, which is to be applied as a tuition fee discount.
Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this award:
- You must have applied to and hold an offer to study on Palliative Care: Implementing Best Practice (this can be PGCert, PGDip or MSc).
- You must be commencing your course in September 2024, and this cannot be deferred to a later start date.
- You must be a UK based clinician (medicine, nursing or allied health professional) currently working in clinical practice.
How will the scholarship be awarded
The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit and motivations to study the course.
- All applicants must complete a written statement outlining their motivation to study the course and how they feel it will benefit their future professional practice.
- All applicants must provide an up-to-date CV.
- All applications will be reviewed by a panel of senior members of staff from the Medical School.
