Intercalated degrees

Broaden your experience

We welcome applications from external applicants and current Hull York Medical School students onto our intercalated degree programmes.
Studying for an intercalated degree allows you to explore a different subject that is of interest to you, gain new skills and experience, and achieve an extra degree.

About our programmes

We offer a variety of degrees in specialist subjects to suit your interests and that provide a powerful complement to your medical training, including clinical anatomy, ethics, biology, sport and exercise science, public health, and health education.

We offer intercalated degrees at bachelors and masters level, and in exceptional circumstances, doctoral degrees.

With student support at the heart of all our programmes, we endeavour to provide you with an exceptional learning experience during your studies with us.

Intercalating in anatomy went beyond anything that could be experienced at medical school alone. It broadened my mind to new anatomical concepts and most importantly, it provided an opportunity to develop scientific thinking – a skill I believe takes years to develop.
