Tom is a contributor to the Health and Society theme of the MBBS programme. He plays a role in curriculum development and delivery around epidemiology and public health topics. Tom also contributes epidemiology content to the Biomedical Science degree programme at the University of York.Tom is an advisor with Student Wellbeing and is currently Deputy Chair of the Mitigating and Exceptional Circumstances Committee.

Biography

Tom is an experienced researcher in both veterinary and medical epidemiology. After training in veterinary epidemiology at the universities of Guelph and Reading, Tom joined Imperial College, analysing data from the Randomised Badger Culling Trial and associated studies. At the University of York, Tom has been involved with a number studies focussing on cancer in the UK and globally using a range of epidemiological tools and analyses. Tom has been teaching epidemiology for over a decade.
