I am a clinical academic based in the Academic Centre for Surgery at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. My research interests are in foot and ankle surgery, limb reconstruction and orthopaedic trauma. I am also involved in teaching, assessment and provision of SSIPs.

Biography

My undergraduate training was at Newcastle University and I completed clinical training in trauma and orthopaedics in the North East and Cumbria region, with fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in Cambridge and limb reconstruction in Leeds. I completed a PhD at Newcastle University and continue in clinical research and medical education. I began my consultant career at North Tees hospitals and Sunderland medical school and have been working with the Hull York Medical School since 2024.
