Lead for the Mental Health Curriculum on the MBBS programme, and also the Deputy lead for Phase 2 of the MBBS programme.

Biography

I have been involved in medical education for many years, having held roles in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. I have worked with the MBBS programme for many years in a variety of roles including as a tutor on the PGCME programme, with the assessment team, and as a lead in assessment and mental health the Physicians Associate Programme. I am now the curriculum lead for Mental health and support the lead for Phase 2. I work as a general adult consultant psychiatrist.

Teaching

I teach regularly on the MBBS programme, having previously been a lead undergraduate tutor in Mental Health for some years. I have also previously taught on the PGCME programme. I have a lead role in assessment on the Physicians Associate programme.

I have had a lead role in putting together the Psychiatry Early Experience Programme.

External roles

I am a general adult psychiatrist with a particular interest in the neurodevelopmental disorders and childhood trauma.I am also a member of the local adoption panel team.
