Micky is a Research Fellow within the TRANSFORMing Cancer Outcomes in Yorkshire programme, working as a qualitative researcher on a project to investigate the experiences of diagnostic pathways and cancer care during the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspectives of patients, their informal carers and healthcare professionals.
After successfully completing a Masters and PhD in applied psychology, Micky's career trajectory has progressed in an applied healthcare research direction. He has undertaken and led projects across primary, secondary and community care; urgent and emergency care; plus digital and online healthcare. Studies focused on: digital capabilities in nursing; virtual reality in rehabilitation; bowel cancer screening uptake; digital technology enhanced learning; and novel stroke rehabilitation services.
