Dr Lydia Edwards

MBChB BSc (Hons)

Clinical Teaching Fellow

Role at Hull York Medical School

Clinical Teaching Fellow and Honorary Clinical Lecturer.

Biography

I am a Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) and, from August 2022, I will be a Senior CTF at HYMS. I studied medicine at the University of Leeds, where I also undertook an intercalated degree in Medical Education. I moved back to my hometown of Hull in 2019, where I completed my foundation training.

Research

I am currently completing a qualitative research project, exploring how the recognition and perceptions of good bedside teaching change as medical students progress through the undergraduate course.

Teaching

I teach students in phases one and two of the MB BS in Hull. I mostly conduct bedside teaching with students on clinical placement at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. I also support the teaching of physician associate students.
