Dr Broughton works as a Research Development Assistant with HYMS working with researchers from the university, clinicians from the Hull hospitals and other collaborators across the UK on oncology studies.
Areas of expertise include developing grant proposals for funding applications and study documents for ethical approvals. Dr Broughton is involved in the setting up of new oncology studies and their ongoing management and also has experience in organising patient involvement in the development of research ideas.
Dr Broughton graduated from the University of Hull with a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science in 2012 and from Hull York Medical School with a PhD Medical Science in 2017. She then went on to become a Research Development Assistant with HYMS in 2018.
