As Senior Laboratory Research Scientist within cardiovascular research, I am involved in generating experimental research data, contributing to the development and submission of scientific publications and external funding applications, ensuring the smooth operation and progression of funded research programmes, management of laboratory practices and procedures, and training and supervision of laboratory personnel.
I completed my PhD in Medical Sciences at the Hull York Medical School in 2013 in the subject area of platelet biology. I specifically investigated the influence of oxidised low-density lipoproteins on platelet function and signalling. Following on from this, I worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in platelet biology research for four years. In 2022 I began work as a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist within cardiovascular research at the Hull York Medical School.
