I am a lecturer in primary care working on the WORKPLACE study. My other responsibilities are teaching on the Scholarship Special Interest Programme (SSIP) module: Early Diagnosis of Cancer, facilitating workshops and tutorials for HYMS undergraduates, marking and moderation of undergraduate and postgraduate students; postgraduate supervision; peer-reviewing, mentoring and other HYMS activities.
Julie is a Lecturer in Primary Care at the Medical School. She is currently working on the WORKPLACE study, which focuses on improving lung health at the workplace (TRANSFORM programme). She is also involved in the Yorkshire Cancer Research study, PEOPLE-Hull (Improving lung health in Hull - a community and practice-based intervention study) and is collaborating on the PRIORITY study: Cancer Care during COVID-19. Julie is based in the Cancer Awareness, Screening, and Diagnostic Pathways Research Group (CASP). Previously Julie was involved in the Cancer Studies Yorkshire, and the Symptoms Awareness studies (1 & 2). She has medical training with general practice experience, randomised clinical trials and community engagement experience. Her interests include early diagnosis of cancer, infectious diseases (HIV/TB), and healthcare management/leadership.
