Jordan is completing his doctoral degree through the Yorkshire Cancer Research funded TRANSFORMing Cancer Outcomes in Yorkshire project. Alongside his doctoral work, he is working as a Research Assistant on the CANBenefit II trial, looking at supporting later-stage lung cancer patients with physical activity and nutritional advice, and CANFit, looking exploring survival outcomes for those with a higher risk of early recurrence of lung, breast and bowel cancers by exploring a personalised home-based exercise programme with support from exercise professionals with NHS standard care.

Biography

Jordan obtained a Bachelors of Science in Sport and Exercise Sciences and Masters of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Alongside his studies, he has actively worked in the health and fitness sector.

Jordan joined the Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre in 2019 to undertake a PhD in Medical Sciences, bringing together his interests in exercise oncology and digital technology.

He is currently working on his PhD and as a Research Assistant in the Hull York Medical School.

Research

Jordan’s research focuses on bringing together physical activity and digital technology for those living with and beyond cancer.
