Role at Hull York Medical School

I am working with the Institute for Mental Health Research at York and the ESRC Vulnerability and Policing Futures Research Centre (VPRC) focusing on mental health and wellbeing within the police workforce.

Biography

I join University of York from Surrey University, where I was continuing to research police involvement in Mental Health Act detention; a topic I started working on at University of Brighton, as well as women's experiences of food in prison. I have also worked on continuity of access to physical and mental healthcare for people moving through the criminal justice system.In addition to academia, I have worked in the probation service and as a prison primary care mental-health practitioner.
