Biography

Catriona was recruited in 2003, joining HYMS shortly before the first cohort of students. Since then she has been closely involved in the creation of the HYMS curriculum, the establishment and co-ordination of library services and the development of students and staff.Cat was awarded a University of York Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Award in 2012. She was commended for the important work she had done in embedding information skills development within the medical curriculum and her innovative and thoughtful approach to Library services.Her contribution to the outstanding NSS scores in relation to the Library were noted and the panel was also impressed by the impact she has both on colleagues within HYMS and through sector networks. The award was formally conferred by the Vice-Chancellor at one of the summer's degree ceremonies.
