I lead the dissertation module on quality improvement, critical appraisal, and evidence-based practice. As well as delivering lectures on these topics, I provide ongoing support, project opportunities and guidance to students undertaking their own quality improvement projects as part of their summative assessment at the end of the year, which forms the dissertation element of the MSc.
I obtained my medical degree from The Queen’s University of Belfast in 2015, after graduating with a BSc in Management from Imperial College London Business School in 2011. I obtained an MBA (dist) in 2022 from the University of Hull and hold a PGCert from The University of Aberdeen in Health Economics.
I work as an Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor in Scarborough, and I lead two improvement workstreams, preparing for the new-build ED. I have been the ED and EAU Governance Lead since 2021.
I teach on the MSc Physician Associate Studies QI module. I also assess clinical examinations, as well as the dissertation and presentations from the QI module.
