As part of Raising and Giving Week at the University of Hull, Hull MedSoc successfully raised £1,639.09 for the British Heart Foundation in their annual CPR Marathon. The CPR Marathon took place over 48 hours in the Hull Student Union and involved 90 volunteers from across HYMS and HUU taking shifts to keep the CPR dummy “alive”.
In addition to smashing last year’s total by over £300 they also received a Society Gold Award at the HUU Activity Awards Ceremony for their achievements throughout the year. Tom Rowland, member of MedSoc Hull, said, “We’re really pleased to have smashed the target – hopefully our next event can match up to this year’s”.
HYMS would like to say congratulations to all the students that took part and wish them the best of luck in their forthcoming fundraising activities.
