A team of volunteers from HYMS joined over 200 others from businesses, local schools and the local community to upgrade an adventure playground in Bell Farm, York.
Volunteers created picnic and seating areas, constructed a shelter, built natural play areas, installed planters, built a scooter ramp and installed artwork created by children who use the site.
The Bell Farm Management Committee and local residents were delighted with the results and what volunteers achieved.
Member of the Committee, Sarah Laverack, said:
"It has been absolutely fantastic. The way people have come together is brilliant and what a change it will make round here."
The HYMS team was made up of Roxana Freeman, Paul Scott, Lisa Schubert and Toby Wardman.
