Alan and Melody elected to JASME committee

Fifth year HYMS student Alan Gopal and HYMS alumnus Melody Redman (academic FY1 Scunthorpe General Hospital) have both been elected to the national committee for the Junior Association for the Study of Medical Education (JASME - http://www.asme.org.uk/jasme/).

The JASME national committee designs, organises and supports workshops and events hosted in medical schools and conferences across the country. In January 2014, HYMS hosted a successful 'Teaching Toolkit' event designed to equip students with the skills to teach others.

JASME works closely with other interest groups within ASME, such as the Education Research Group and Educator Development Group.

As both Alan and Melody are passionate about medical education, they are privileged and excited to be involved to such an extent with JASME.

HYMS fourth year student Timur D'Souza has also just been elected as local HYMS JASME representative.
